Even though I have crocheted for over 50 yrs making various items, I have never tried making the ariguru dolls. I love the cute patterns that you have on your website and look forward to making a couple of them. Thank you for making them available.
Muchas gracias por compartir los patrones, estan muy bellos
The patterns are super kawaii. Can you put a totoro pattern? I love your totoro amigurumis. ❤ And love your website.

I really love ALL OF YOUR PATTERNS. However, could you please put a lot more of your patterns online for free? Especially the cotton candy doll? Please…………………
Your patterns are super kawaii!! Thank you for sharing the patterns 🙂
Sorry, but I was just wondering how you make you amigurumi stand up by themselves. It’s really frustrating when I want my ami’s to stand by themselves and they keep falling over. Please help!
Thank you!
Oh, I also want to say that I really love your site. You inspired me to start making amigurumi and I absolutely love it.
Thank you once again!
Hi Nini! Thanks for the message! Awh a lot of my amigurumi dolls actually can’t stand on their own! For photography purposes, I usually use a small item (like a mini perfume or a wooden spool) to prop them up. Some crafters suggest toothpicks, but they’ve never worked for me. For the bottom-heavy amigurumi (like a Totoro or my Mr Murasaki owl), you can try adding some small pebbles along with the stuffing. For amigurumi with thin doll’s legs, you can try stuffing them lightly to help them ‘stand’, but you will still have to prop something behind its back 🙂 Try it!
Thank you so much!
You see, I’m trying to make an amigurumi stop-motion animation and my doll just won’t stand on it’s own! So frustrating!
I will try your technique in putting something behind my doll and hope it can’t be seen (*^ワ^*)
Yours are still the best and cutest…
Hi Mei, thank u for being so generous and share your amigurumi patterns! They are really super cute! All of them…. :))))
I hope i have time to learn them all 😉
Congratulations on your new book! Keep it up! ^^
Hello!
When I heard of your book from friends I bought it immediately! I love to crochet and I love Hello Kitty – so this book is perfect!
I was disappointed though – I saw Cinnamoroll in a preview on one page (in a mustache mug) but he isn’t in the book! I couldn’t find a pattern on your blog here either.
Can you please give me a hint what parts to use? Did you use some kind of Purin’s ears? The Kitty body? Cinnamoroll is (with Melody which I am crocheting now) my fav character and I soo want to crochet him ^^
But this book is really the cutest ❤
Hey there Wiebko! I really do hope that we’ll get to release Cinnamoroll’s pattern soon! Anyhow, you can definitely use Purin’s ears, I think it’s slightly longer. The head and body is at least one row less than the basic head pattern. They arms and legs are smaller too 🙂 For the tail, you can crochet a tube then roll it up at the ends! Hope that helps!
Is your book available in Popular or anywhere in Penang?
Hi Lily! Currently it is only available in Kinokuniya, or you can order from Kinokuniya online and Amazon 🙂
I just found your blog and am totally fangirling over it! ^_^ It’s really lovely! Thank you for sharing your sweet universe & your beautiful work with us! ^^
